Step into your discomfort.

Hello you brilliant you!

This your morning reminder that you are here for a reason.

You may not be here to become president, or cure cancer, or resolve global warming.  Those are just details of a more general purpose that every single human being on this planet has: to remember the truth of who we are at our Essence, and express that truth every moment in every experience and interaction we have, as often as we can.

Through remembering and expressing our Essence selves, we expand the edges of our limitations, and our soul continues to evolve to higher and higher levels of consciousness; higher levels of healing; and consequently, higher levels of peace and joy, no matter what is happening externally.

Every time we are faced with conflict or hardship, our Ego resists moving forward.  So we try to ignore, project, deflect.  We worry, we obsess, we ruminate, anything to avoid the discomfort that comes with doing something new, making changes, stepping outside of the old, familiar and “safe” stories – that really only keep us stuck.

free-peace-dovesOur Egos resist change because the New Story feels unfamiliar and therefore, “unsafe.”  Our Egos are only trying to protect us from a perceived danger.  Thank you Ego, but not necessary – change is always for the good, even if you can’t see what that good is in the moment.

Remember this truth:  Your discomfort is pointing to a place of potential.  Potential for healing, growth and evolution.

Don’t miss your opportunity.

Remember who you are and change the Story.

Do something different.

Take action from your Essence self.

Step into your discomfort and see how you grow.

And…don’t forget to repeat often:

I am brilliant;

I am magnificent;

I am a being of Love and Light.

I am here to bring my Essence Self to every experience of my Life.

  1. Well said. And the only thing constant is change so might as well embrace it.
