All is well…?

Good morning, my friend.

Some days just seem harder than others.

Sometimes, no matter how much we know, and how hard we try, the external world just challenges us so much that all we can feel is hopelessness and despair.

Today, you may find out that a problem you had come to believe was resolved, has suddenly resurfaced.

Today, something you thought was solid and reliable could crumble and fall apart.

Today, someone you relied upon for safety and comfort may unexpectedly disappear.

In other words, sometimes life does not unfold they way we want it to.

In other words, sometimes life seems to crash down upon us.free-light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel

Sadness and gloom can weigh heavy on us.

Even if we believe that all change is for the better, and that if nature takes it course, it always moves toward growth and potential and highest good, it is not always easy to see this truth.

Sometimes we are so deep in the dark, so thick in the forest, so wrapped up in fear and the old stories in our heads, there is no way to see the light at the end of the tunnel (even though we know, on some level, that the LIGHT always exists even if it is not visible to our naked eyes).

Sometimes, we just need to feel the pain of sorrow, of loss, of disappointment, of loneliness.  There is no way to be authentically human without ever experiencing these very real and normal emotions.  They are all healthy responses to having things not be the way we want them to be.

We have all heardfree-lost-man-mountain the expression, “Pain is inevitable, but Suffering is optional” haven’t we?

Yes, pain is part of being a physical human being on this planet; there is no way to avoid it.  In fact, without it we would not be compelled to change and grow.

When you allow for the pain of any uncomfortable emotion; when you can accept it, feel it, embrace it, it naturally flows through you.  And eventually, not only will you feel better, you will have healed another layer of your soul.

This is your emotional and spiritual evolution.

Suffering, on the other hand, comes from shutting down, from ignoring, rejecting, projecting; in other words, doing all that we can to avoid feeling our pain.  Like a hamster in a wheel, we just keep running and running, exhausted, afraid to just stop and feel the discomfort.  In this unconscious state, we forget that the Light is there and we just haven’t turned the corner yet.

Today, be aware of your pain and be gentle with your tender heart.

Yes.  Feel your pain.

Know it is natural to experience it.

Accept and embrace the vulnerability of admitting that you are in pain.

Tap into the part of you that knows, on a much bigger level, All is Well.

Remember, soon, you will turn the corner, and you will see the Light.

So, for now, it is ok to cry.

Imagine this once today (even if you don’t feel it or believe it right now):

I am brilliant;

I am magnificent;

I am a being of Love and Light.

I am here to bring my Essence Self to every experience of my Life.

  1. What a great reminder Carol! We do have an option to choose to dwell on our pain causing deep suffering , or just feel the pain, let it move through us, dwell in God, and move on. This saying came to my mind:
    “New beginnings are often disguised as painfull endings” Namaste!

      Thank you Nadia for contributing this comment. Yes, we always have a choice to let it flow. I love the quote, too! ~carol
