Sunday, in our culture, is traditionally thought of as a “day of rest.” Though most of us rarely actually rest on this last day of the week. Usually, we are rushing around trying to “fit in” whatever we have not been able to get to during the week. Often what we try to “fit in” is “relaxing.”
We feel pressured to arrange for our kids activities; or our own “fun” time, date night, girls night out, fishing with the guys, etc. And sometimes, we feel pressured to “finish up” work we didn’t get to during the week.
While the “demands” of modern life often seem to leave us with limited time, is it possible to at least be fully present no matter what we are doing?
Can you be curious about what your busy day of relaxing would feel like if instead of being on auto-pilot from start to finish, you were awake to each moment?
Imagine even with running around with the kids, even with planning for a fun outing, or even with any extra work, imagine being fully conscious of your experience as you move through each activity.
You might still be doing, doing, doing, but being fully present will change the quality of your experience for certain.
Try it today.
See what happens.
Right now, notice you are breathing…
And as you breath consciously throughout the day, say this to yourself each time:
I am brilliant;
I am magnificent;
I am a being of Love and Light.
I am here to bring my Essence Self to every experience of my Life.
